NBTHK help

Hello Group!

Can anyone help with the signature and comment given by NBTHK? I have been looking at this sword: http://nihontou.jp/choice03/toukenkobugu/katana/367/00.html

Sukenobu during kanbun I think but what is in parentheses and written in the next line?

Any other opinions on this sword are very welcome!

PLEASE HELP WITH TANSLATION OF DOUBLE SIGNED TANG I AM NEW HERE

Hello fellow collectors I am new here . I bought this sword in Kyu gunto mounts .Could some one please help me translate this double signed tang? I believe it may be grass script? If anyone could tell me what it says I would be grateful.Thank you and take care.

buying my first (2)

New question on basic blade types.

1) I see them with and without blade groves. Does this feature have significance as to age and value?

2) At the tip I see some that have a change in "plane" or facet along the Ha (sharp edge?) whereby there is a profile "break" @ the tip. Is this a katana shape? And some blades maintain the same edge plane all the way to the tip. Does this have significance?

3) Can anyone recommend a basic resource text, book, website I can start with.

thanx for the help

Translation help please

My ability to translate japanese is very limited at this time. Could someone help please?

Buying my first

Hello, I am new to the entire sword world. Given that I know nothing and I am studying diligently. Please forgive my rudimentary terminology. I would however like an opinion.

What's this worth?

Hello everyone, first time poster, first time collector! I'm looking to gather maybe 3 to 5 swords to mount in my home office and would like ones from differing time periods from Japan. I've always been intrigued by Japanese culture, taking Judo classes for some time and just recently adopting a Kai-Ken puppy with my girlfriend. Now before I get too far off topic I'd like to see if anyone here can expand on a sword I've been following on GunBroker.

A newbie NBTHK paper question.

Hello everyone!

First, my apologies for what seem even to me to be an embarrassingly simple question.

I've spent the last couple of years reading up and saving up for my first purchase. I'm not financially ready yet but soon. :)
I'm trying to learn to read the NBTHK sword papers (real vs fake) and this one thing (of many) stumped me...

Likes and dislikes

There appears to be a deafening silence on the discussion side here so thought maybe a few people might kick this idea around of what your likes and preferences are as far as Japanese swords are concerned and do you have any not so favourite things (in my case blingy tosogu).
