World War II sword fittings with mon

We have a family mon on the fuchi. Has a lot of gold highlights on it. We are wanting to find out if where it is located does indicate the rank of the officer or the rank in the family where the mon is. Do you know how to research who the officer was through the mon. It is off a WWII piece, shin-gunto fittings but higher grade fittings. There is a name scratched into it.

unknown signature

Hi I'm giacomo from Italy, i was searching some information about the signature of my sword and finally i found Nihonto Club. I can't speak and read japanese but I've a friend that has studied oriental languages and was able to read these ideograms: 平安城住平朝臣廣光 on one face of the sword and 慶應二年春 on the other one. He has said that 慶應二年春 means second year of keiou era (1966)spring. I've searched in your swordsmith index for the first part of the signature and I found name like HEIANJO and HIROMITSU. I need your help because i can't undestand much more of what I've wrote.

Kai Gunto Mei Help

First time poster, glad to be here.

I have a Kai Gunto and am having a tough time find information on the smith. The blade has no armoury stamps or other markings aside from the tsuba, which may be just chance flaws. I have been told by two gentlemen that the smith is POSSIBLY Harima (no) Kami Fujiwara Masamichi from an approx date of 1684 out of Settsu. The preceding being taken from Hawley. However the only Masamichis I have found are not from this date and province.

Any direction would be very much appreciated, thanks!
