Heianjo Kunihiro sword?

Attached are pictures of my sword. Can someone please help me identify it?

Kunihiro

Dear William,

The signature reads 平安城住國廣 (Heianjō ju Kunihiro). I went through few sword books to find anything about this smith and there is only one Kunihiro from Heianjō mentioned, who signed both 國弘 and 國廣. He worked in Ōan era (1368 AD). That's very much all what I was able to find. I don't have oshigata or photos of any of his works, therefore I can't tell whether the signature looks genuine or not.

It's hard to grasp an overall impression of this blade from the photos. It looks a bit 'new' to me, but again, photos are very misleading. I guess you'd need to show it to somebody versed in Nihontō in person, especially because the blade is not polished.

I hope this helps.
