I have acquired another Wakizashi. It is said to be Nobuyoshi, but not sure of era, school, date etc. I have included pics of 2 documents that came with the Wakizashi, but (blush blush!) they may be upside down. Any info appreciated. Baz |

I have aquired a Wakizashi, supposed to be Gen 1 or 2, 1390 to 1450. Smith is Nio Kiyonobu of Suo province. Any one heard of this smith. I'll try and get pics of tang posted asap. |

Hello, Nino |

First a quick hello to all, I've enjoyed surfing through the pages of info and pics of your collections. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to recognise if a signature is gimei..? The reason I ask is that I’m waiting for a katana to arrive with the below pictured mei to arrive. |

Hi everyone, first time user! I am currently living in Japan and I am in search of an authentic samurai sword as a gift to someone close to me at home. I have looked up several websites in search of some but everyone seems to want you to pay for it and then you get it (which would be okay - but I still haven't seen it - so its a bit risky) |

Hi everybody! I'm thinking of purchasing a sword, one with a NBTHK cert. As I am buying it online and the sum is quite big I want to know what's the possibility of landing a fake NBTHK cert? Is there any way of veryfying the authenticity of the cert? Can I write to the society for verification, I mean, has there been instances where fake certs were encountered? |
