Another Wakizashi

I have acquired another Wakizashi. It is said to be Nobuyoshi, but not sure of era, school, date etc. I have included pics of 2 documents that came with the Wakizashi, but (blush blush!) they may be upside down. Any info appreciated.

Old Wakizashi

I have aquired a Wakizashi, supposed to be Gen 1 or 2, 1390 to 1450. Smith is Nio Kiyonobu of Suo province. Any one heard of this smith. I'll try and get pics of tang posted asap.

Katana: Fake or find? Real but worthless?

First a quick hello to all, I've enjoyed surfing through the pages of info and pics of your collections.

I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to recognise if a signature is gimei..? The reason I ask is that I’m waiting for a katana to arrive with the below pictured mei to arrive.

naval dirk with crossed hawk feather mon.(maruni chigai takanoha)

Gentlemen.
I recently acquired an unusual naval dirk with a family mon on the hilt. According to Hawley and other sources.
this mon was shared by five families. A thorough examination of the records of the Japanese Naval Academy,
from its inception, revealed two officers with family ties to the mon. They were Admiral Kyuji Kubo and Admiral Shinpei Asano. Kubo had an illustrious career, having been Captain of the aircraft carrier Kaga and the battle-

LIVING IN JAPAN & SEARCHING FOR AUTHENTIC SWORD

Hi everyone, first time user!

I am currently living in Japan and I am in search of an authentic samurai sword as a gift to someone close to me at home. I have looked up several websites in search of some but everyone seems to want you to pay for it and then you get it (which would be okay - but I still haven't seen it - so its a bit risky)

NBTHK Paperwork

Hi everybody!
I am new here and new to sword collecting. I have a question hope some experienced collectors can help me.

I'm thinking of purchasing a sword, one with a NBTHK cert. As I am buying it online and the sum is quite big I want to know what's the possibility of landing a fake NBTHK cert? Is there any way of veryfying the authenticity of the cert? Can I write to the society for verification, I mean, has there been instances where fake certs were encountered?
