I need help with translation

It seems that "Era Kanbun, 1661-1673"
But masters Name?

WW2 Shin Gunto Kanenobu 濃州関住兼信作 nōshū seki ju kanenobu saku Signature

Admins feel free to relocate post. Can someone tell me more about my recent ww2 Shin Gunto Purchase? I was directed here from a facebook page. The Tsuka took me over an hr to remove, the Ito had also slipped back a bit, Think it seen some serious use during the war. It clearly hadn't been removed since ww2, the Mekugi was jammed on an Angle and I had to destroy it to be able to remove it. It's pretty well worn. Looks like some Idiot tried to polish it with a dremel tool or something. Mainly on 1 side. What i'm interested to know is How old it actually is?

Help translating Mei 3

This is the last of me 3 swords. This is a katana. The Mei is on the Omote and the Ura has painted charachers. I haven't found any information for this sword yet. Thanks again for any help.

Help translating Mei 2

This is the second of the 3 swords. This is another wakizashi. The Mei is only on the Ura. I haven't found any information on this yet. Again, any help is appreciated.

Help translating Mei

Hello all. I recently acquired 3 swords and need help translating the Mei. I'll put each in a seperate post. The first sword is a wakizashi. It has Mei on both the Ura and Omote. From what I can tell, the Ura Mei reads "A day in the 8th month of the 5th year of Kaei." I'm not sure what the character between year and the number 5 is. I haven't found much for the Omote Mei yet. My best guess for the name is "MATSUO, Sukenojo." Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Identifying markings on Tang

we have a sword (katana) that shows it was outfitted as a WWII sword, (all the pieces, seppa etc has the stamped numbers, 59 and the scabbard that was issued during the war, with the leather over sheaths) however we believe the blade is probably from an older period (a family blade?) The tang isn't all that long and has some pitting and rust showing and the writing on the tang is mostly hard to make out (except the top one, where unfortunately, someone seems to have put chalk or something into to see it better) I have attached a few pics.

My sword

I would like to show the sword given me by my Dad in the interest of learning about its history and school.

Request for Assistance Reading Mei on Katana

I recently discovered this website and am trying to find more information on the sword, when it was made, and who made it. I value any insight that members may offer and thank you all in advance. I have tried to compare the kanji to other characters, but I have no idea what they are.

What I have been told:

Private owner sword

Can someone help me translate the writing on this Japanese sword. The story is my uncle brought it home from World War II, said he got it "off of a" Japanese soldier, but I doubt that. :) Thanks so very much!

Hikashiro Sadamune wakizashi

I note an auction in London tomorrow 17th July has a 'signed Hikashiro Sadamune' wakizashi. You can find it on google if you do a search
Now my understanding is that there is only one signed Sadamune in existence - a tanto. So this would suggest this is a great unaccounted for signed Sadamune or a gimei. The image of the nakago is very unclear as it is very badly pitted and the inmages of the blade are not sufficient to make any judgement on quality.

Interested in the process of auction houses selling Japanese blades and their descriptions, when there is obviously no paperwork.
