I am seeking help / assistance to be able to know the meaning of inscriptions on the tang of a sword I own.
Omote- Possible reading
1st kanji: Hon = true / real ?
2nd kanji: I do not know.
3rd kanji: Kane (Mino way).
4th kanji:Uji.
Incised stamp: I have absolutely no idea.

Ura-
Date: My reading
Meiji 9th year 2nd month a day. A day in February 1876 ( one month before the Haitori Edict).
2nd last kanji: Ichi.

I am looking for assistance for this wakisachi (51.2 cm) in regard of the signature. After 2 years spending spare time to find an oshigata I threw in my towel. I attached the mei and several shots of the blade. I am aware that you may need more photos, no problem I will do as asked. It is my feeling that the hamon is close to Shochu style , the boshi is rather small and the tempering of it is O-maru on one side and nearly square on the other (as per photos).

. There is no stamp nor credible marks which would lead to believe one as been removed.
. Sori is 17/18 mm, Tori sori.
. photos attached, I should have sand blasted glass to diffuse the light and work on my lighting.
. Temper line crisper than my photos taken with macro, hand held camera.

May I have your help to read the smith name on a Japanese sword made during WW2. The sword has a Seki stamp (5 x 5 mm), It has an atrative ko-gunome midare hamon and an O-maru boshi, length 64.5 cm. Unorthodox fuchi-kashira more like late 19th century than war production, the tsuba is regulation in shape only as it is covered with cherry blossoms, habaki has well spaced file marks angled ay around 60 degrees. Saya is aubergine in color and so is the tsukamaki. Menukis seems to be a family mon not the regulation ones.
