Shirasaya in Ireland?

Hi all, New to the forum and I'm going to dive straight in with a question. Is there anywhere in Ireland I could get a shirasaya made? I have a sword that is in gunto mounts that are about to fall apart and I'd like to give the blade better protection. I don't like the idea of having to ship it over to the UK to have one made, so is there anyone here who makes them? Thanks.

Shirasaya

Hi Adam,

As far I know, there are no saya specialists in Ireland. However, making a shirasaya in the UK is not a bad idea. I'll send you the email address of Peter McCafferty from Northern Ireland who did it a couple of times and he may give you a good advice what to do.
