FYI, the shape of the tip of the nakago (tang) looks like "Kashuu style". As I recall, it is common for Echigo and Kaga blades (Echigo and Kaga are provinces).
In the 3rd picture, it looks like the blade has been "polished" on a buffing wheel, making it very smooth and shiny, but doing serious damage unfortunately. It is serious for two reasons: 1) The crisp edges that are supposed to be there get rounded off. A proper polish would have to remove a LOT of metal to fix it. 2) A buffing wheel gets much too hot, and tends to destroy the temper. The hamon may be literally "gone" in some places.
