Meikan
Just curious - is it difficult to get a copy of the Meikan? Has it been out of print for a long time?

Yes, I believe so. Tokugawa Art prints them on demand. I was looking for a copy for quite a while (they pop up occasionally on Nihonto sites and eBay), but then the price for printing was comparable with the price of an old copy, so I decided to go for it.
I ordered the book in the beginning of August. Then in the end of October Tokugawa refunded my order saying that printing company didn't finish the order in time. I asked them to contact me if the book becomes available again. So they did few days ago.
