I have purchased this sword some time ago and it is the only one I do not know either the construction period nor the maker. I have asked the Japanese seller to give me some information but, all he could tell me was that the words probably read 'Syu Kaifu Jyu Mune' and that this sword was probably made in the Tokushima prefecture. I however could not match this with the database available. It would help to know that I purchase it in its shirasaya.
So I would be extremely appreciative if someone could give me additional information, such as maker and possible range of dates when this was forged. Thank you for your kind assistance.
