Help with signature identification

Hi,

I would appreciate any help in deciphering the signature on this sword. I have researched but have had no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have attached photos.

Thanks,

Sukesada

Hi Lambros,

The signature reads:

横山上野大掾藤原祐定
yokoyama kodzuke daijō fujiwara sukesada

Sukesada signed this way. I compared it with the signature in Fujishiro [1] and the style does closely match. I think this is a good candidate for further research.

Regards,
Stan
