Biography and lineage
There is not so much known about this smith. Hawley attributes Tsuguie to Shinto period [1]. He is listed in Nihonto Meikan with a note unknown era/province [2].
Sesko provides a very plausible version that Tsuguie may be an incorrect transcription of Yamato no Kami Minamoto Tsugushige [3].
