Founder of Yamamura school. Student of Nobukuni 信国 of Yamashiro Province.
Also signed Nobukuni. Large mokume, masame, gunome-midare, notare [1].
He is said to be the Lord of Ichijō and to have worked as a swordsmith. He was beckoned from Kyoto by Nobukuni, and made a teacher, and it is said that for this reason he also later spontaneously signed Nobukuni [2]. There are also other versions about the origin of this smith [3].
