Mokume, midare, narrow suguba. Works are rare.

He is a son of Norikuni and younger brother of Kuniyoshi. Story from Edo period is saying he was a son of Kunitsuna [1]. Some sources say this Kunimitsu and Shintōgo is the same smith, but different periods. Some Awataguchi Kunimitsu blades were attributed to Shintōgo [2].

Hawley must have followed Meikan as both sources list this smith as a son of Kunitsuna who lived is Sagami and was active around Hōji (1247) [3] (KUN538), [4] (page 294).
