Biography and lineage

He is a grandson of Ichimonji Ienori. Ietada, along with Yoshimoto, dedicated a tachi to Kumano Gongen in Genkō 1 (1321) [1].

Workmanship and style

Mokume, o-choji, ko-choji, ko-midare [2]. His works resemble those of Osafune Kagemitsu.
