Help to identify Family Name on Surrender Tag

Hello Everyone
I am back again studying and researching swords in my collection. I have a Naval Officers sword
which was surrendered with a Surrender tag. Rust on the edge of the tang make it difficult to identify the smith. I would be interested in the Family name on the Surrender tag and of course the name of the smith..
Mush appreciate if someone could assist
thank you

Maebara

The name on the tag is "2nd Lieutenant Maebara".

Pete

Smiths name

Thank you Pete for the Lieutenants name..
Can you suggest the signature on the sword.

Seki

I think I see a Seki stamp at the top of signature, on your smith_6 picture?
Some of it probably is:
"SEKI JUu OKUDA name SAKU KORE".
The name part is your smith_3 picture, and is the most important part, but the part with the most damage...
