Biography and lineage
Sakai Ikkansai Shigemasa was born in 1905 as 3rd son of Sakai Yasujiro who was a yonger brother of Miyaguchi Masatoshi. His real name is Sakai Hiroshi.
1921: started to learn under Kasama Ikkansai Shigetsugu
1933: became a member of Yasukuni Tanrensho
1936: withdrew from Ysukuni Tanrensho, and became a member of Okura Tanren-Dojo
1941: became Rikugun-Jumei Tosho
1944: became Kaigun-Jumei Tosho
1981: became Mukansa rank swordsmith
Sakai Ikkansai Shigemasa passed away in 1995.
