Swordsmith Index
This index is originally based on Hawley's fundamental work 'Japanese Swordsmiths' which provides the most complete and most popular listing of sword smiths to date. Extended data model is inspired by To-Show database, JSSUS Nihonto Knowledge Base, Robert Cole's Sho-Shin and by works of many other authors (a complete list can be found in Bibliography section). It is intented to be a non-commercial resource to support Nihonto studies and raise awareness of history and appreciation of genuine Japanese swords.
