The first nihonto I seen was my uncles he brought back from Okinawa after ww2.I was 11 years old it was the most beautiful sword I had seen.I was hooked and I'm still hooked.His was made around 1680 with a box hamon. My first katana was a gunto made by the 23 rd.kanefusa a very nice blade. I also had a wakizashi that was unsigned these along with 50 years of knives,guns,ammo,and everything was stolen while my wife and i were at work.but i got new ones know. once I figure out how to put up pictures I will.These blades picked me to take care of them.Sounds weired I know.
