The Japanese Sword Society of Canada |
The Japanese Sword Society of Canada (JSSC) is a non-profit organization located in Barrie , Ontario , Canada , just north of Toronto , Ontario . It was founded in 1965 by its President Fred Fimio and Incorporated in 1976.
The society, with close connections with both the NBTHK and the NTHK of Japan, is dedicated to the preservation and edification of the Japanese sword as a work of art.
The society's main endeavor is toward the education of its members through correspondence courses, planned seminars, meetings and informative, educational quarterly sword journal Published and Edited by Fred Fimio. The JSSC also provides information regarding instructive books on sword, shows and show dates of other sword societies. |
