Nakago Question

This is my first post. A friend has a wakazashi that her father brought back from Japan in the 1950s. I'd appreciate any help on translating the kanji.

Aloha from Hawaii.

Harada

With Andy's information I was able to find a similar Mei. Added an additional slide (Eureka) that was accompanied with the following writeup:
Katana: Musashi Daijyo Sakon Korekazu (1st generation)
Katana in Shirasaya(NBTHK Hozon Paper)
Signature: Musashi Daijyo Sakon Korekazu (1st gen)
The blade was polished.
Habaki: syakudo single habaki.
Blade length : 69.6cm or 27.41inches.
Sori : 1.5cm or 0.59inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.9cm or 1.14inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2cm or 0.78inches.
Kasane : 0.68cm or 0.27inches.
Era : Keian era Edo period. Year - 1648
Shape : The blade is about 15cm suriage & Machiokuri nakago.
Jitetsu : Itame had and mokume had well grained with
clear Utsuri appear on the Ji.
Hamon: From the Hamachi area, Choji midair and then suguha with komidare hamon with ashi, Yo work.

Special feature : Musashi Daijyo Sakon Korekazu 1st generation was working at Keian era early Edo period.
He always making Ichimonji style active Choji midair hamon. At that period, in Edo, there are many sword makers like Mitsuhira, Tsunemitsu, Korekazu and other sword makers were making Ichimonji style Jigane and hamon. The style of Ichimonji of the Korekazu is very nice Choji midair hamon but the shindig ji is massage had and generally Kanbun style so it is easy to understand his subject. His school continued 7th generation Korekazu(Ishido Korekazu).

NBTHK Hozon Paper

. Please feel free to weigh in with your thoughts and opinion on whether it is the same swordmaker.

Kanji

Hi
regarding help with Kanji

From the photo, the best I can translate from the photos

First kanji= Not sure
Second= zen
third= Daijo
fourth= Not Sure
Fifth+sixth=sakon
seventh and eighth= Korekazu

Dated 1673-88

sometimes the kanji say Musashi Daijo fujiwara Korekazu
The first two should be the Province and with the second kanji meaning "zen" it could be Bizen or Hizen. Korekazu is the maker
Hope this helps
Andy

Thanks

Thanks Andy.
